School Vision and Aims

Vision

At Cam Everlands, we strive to be an inspiring, aspirational and exciting place to learn which is innovative and forward-thinking whilst retaining traditional school values.  We strive to create an inclusive, welcoming environment and develop a community of children, parents and staff who work together effectively so that everyone can achieve.

Aims

Our school motto, ‘We Believe, Achieve and Celebrate’, encompasses the aims we have for all of our children.

‘We’

We want all of our childre to have respect for others and themselves and to behave with honesty and empathy towards others. We want them to have an awareness of local and global matters so that they understand their place as a citizen and know how they add to society. Ultimately, we want to go beyond thinking and voicing their ideas, to develop a desire to make respectful and responsible contribution to their local and global community.

‘Believe’

It is vital for our children to feel an intrinsic sense of belief in themselves, that they can do well and have it within themselves to succeed. We want all of our children aim high and aspire to achieve great things. We want to help them develop their creativity and resourcefulness, courage and resilience, as well as pride and an attitude which will help them learn today and in the future.

‘Achieve’

We want every one of our children to enjoy their childhood and time at our school. They need to feel safe, secure and valued. This allows them to be able to make well-informed and independent decisions that ensure they develop physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual wellbeing. Ultimately, we want them to be naturally motivated to learn and find enjoyment within the discovery, enquiry and gaining of new life skills, knowledge and real understanding.

‘Celebrate’

As a school we celebrate the achievements of everyone. We want the achievements of our children to be celebrated and for them to celebrate others for their passions, talents, diversity and personal success. We want them to be recognised and recognise others for their personal achievements, which build self-esteem and confidence to achieve in the future.

Values

We have 4 core values: respect, trust, honesty and empathy. These are the qualities we want our children to exhibit throughout their time with us and they form the focus of our whole-school assemblies but they are referred to on a daily basis.
