Teaching Assistant Vacancy

The position will be paid at Grade 5 for qualified Teaching Assistants and is for 24 hours per week. 

The vacancy is for 5 mornings  (8.45-12.45) and 2 afternoons (1.15-3.15) a week. 

The post is a fixed term contract until August 2025.

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work in KS1 and KS2

We are looking for someone with:

High expectations

An excellent knowledge and understanding of the needs of KS1 children and how to effectively support their learning and promote their well being

An awareness of Neurodiverse conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

Early Phonics awareness

Excellent communication skills

The ability to work collaboratively with staff and be an excellent team player

A calm flexible approach, and the ability to be flexible and use initiative

A willingness to learn and take on new ideas

Outstanding English and Maths skills
