On a glorious March day, we were very fortunate to be visited by Iszi Lawrence, a children's author. This was part of Cam Everlands hosting Stroud Book Festival on Tour - a scheme which brings the book festival to schools who were unable to attend in person. 

Iszi, who writes fiction books based on historical facts, entertained our junior children with the inspiration behind her stories, be that the suffragettes or Ancient Egyptian tombs. The levels of engagement and interaction from the children were excellent and we know that they enjoyed themselves because of the number of smiling faces.

We were also very lucky to have been joined by some of the pupils from Cam Hopton Primary. They were invited to come along to join in the fun and it was lovely to be able to host them.

So, a huge thanks to Jane and Shannon from Stroud Book Festival for liaising with the school to organise the event and especially to Iszi who brought the energy and entertainment!
